Waitrose & Partners is recalling Waitrose N°1 Teacakes because they have been packed with an incorrect product which contains egg that is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg. No other Waitrose & Partners products are known to be affected.

What you should do

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to egg, do not eat it. Instead contact Waitrose customer service on 0800 188 881 to arrange a refund. If customers are making an essential trip to a Waitrose store, they can return the item in-store for a full refund.

Waitrose & Partners is recalling the above product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
