Tesco recalls Tesco Stir Fry Tikka Chicken because of undeclared egg and mustard

Why it was recalled

Tesco is recalling its Stir Fry Tikka Chicken because the sauce sachet inside contains egg and mustard, neither of which is mentioned on the label. Multi-component meal kits are labelled as a whole, and here the sachet's contents slipped through the declaration.

Sauce sachets are the least visible part of a kit: nobody reads a sachet separately, so the outer label is the only protection an allergic shopper has, and it failed here.
