Why it was recalled
Marks & Spencer is recalling its Authentic Greek Yoghurt with Vanilla because the pot may contain gluten that is not mentioned on the label. Yoghurt is normally a naturally gluten-free food, which is exactly why an undeclared gluten content matters: nobody checking labels would expect to find it here.
For people with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance, foods assumed safe are where labelling failures do the most harm, because the usual caution is switched off.
