Lidl Northern Ireland is recalling 1001 Delights Dubai Style Pistachio Ice Cream because it contains cashew nuts that are not mentioned on the label. Pistachio-flavoured products often use other nuts in the recipe, but every nut must be declared, and this one was not.
For anyone with a cashew allergy the missing declaration is a real danger: nut allergies can cause severe reactions, and the label gave no reason to be cautious.
