Lidl Ireland recalls Duc de Coeur Macarons as allergens are not declared in English

Why it was recalled

Lidl Ireland is recalling Duc de Coeur Macarons because they contain almond, wheat, milk, eggs, pistachio and barley and may contain lupin, other nuts, peanuts and sesame, which are not written in English in the ingredients list. The product is sold in Lidl stores in Northern Ireland.

What you should do

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to peanuts, nuts, lupin or sesame and/or an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, wheat (gluten), egg and/or barley, do not eat them. Instead return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.

Action taken by the business

Lidl Ireland is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
