Asda recalls ASDA Chicken Dinners because of undeclared allergens

Why it was recalled

Asda is recalling ASDA Chicken Dinners because the product contains barley (gluten), egg and milk, which are not mentioned on the label. As a result of a packaging error, some packs contain ASDA Beef Dinners. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to barley or gluten and/or egg and/or milk or milk constituents.

What you should do

If you have bought the above product and have with coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to barley or gluten and/or egg and/or milk or milk constituents. , do not eat it. Instead, return the product to the nearest Asda store for a refund, with or without a receipt. For more information contact Asda Customer Relations on 0800 952 0101.

Action taken by the business

Asda is recalling the above product from customers. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. Please see attached notice.
