Waitrose recalls Waitrose No1 Deeside Mineral and Sparkling Waters because of the possible presence of glass
Why it was recalled
Waitrose is recalling its No1 Deeside Mineral Water and No1 Deeside Sparkling Water because fragments of glass may be present when the bottles are opened. Glass in a drink is a serious hazard: fragments are hard to see in water and can cause cuts to the mouth and throat.
The problem appears to relate to the bottles themselves rather than the water, but the effect is the same: affected bottles are not safe to drink from.
