Sacor recalls Bastides Saucisson Sec because of contamination with Salmonella

Why it was recalled

Sacor is recalling Bastides Saucisson Sec, sold exclusively at Tesco, after Salmonella was found in the product. Cured sausage is eaten without cooking, so there is no kill step between a contaminated product and the person eating it.

Salmonella infection usually causes fever, diarrhoea and stomach cramps. Most people recover within days, but it spreads easily, so anyone with symptoms should stay away from work, school or nursery until 48 hours after symptoms stop.
