Why it was recalled
Co-op is recalling its Irresistible Triple Cook Thick Cut Chunky Chips because some packs were filled with Dauphinoise potatoes instead, a product made with milk that the chips' label does not declare.
A creamy potato dish in a chip bag is an obvious mistake once opened, but by then a shopper with a milk allergy may already be cooking or serving it, which is why the mispack is treated as a formal allergy alert.
