Calbee Group UK Ltd recalls Calbee Hot & Spicy Chips and Calbee Pizza Chips because of undeclared mustard and celery

Why it was recalled

Calbee Group UK is recalling two of its snack products: the Hot & Spicy Chips contain mustard, and the Pizza Chips contain celery, with neither allergen mentioned on the labels. Both mustard and celery are among the fourteen allergens UK law requires to be declared, and both can cause significant reactions in sensitive people.

Seasoned snacks carry complex flavourings where these ingredients hide easily, which is why declaration rules exist in the first place.
