British & Continental recalls Mica 3 Belgian Frangipans due to incorrect allergen labelling

Why it was recalled

British & Continental is recalling Mica 3 Belgian Frangipans because they contain wheat (gluten), milk, egg and soya which have not been emphasised on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, and/or milk or milk constituents, and/or egg and/or an allergy to soya. The product is only distributed in Morrisons and Nisa.

What you should do

If you have bought the above affected product and have an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, and/or to milk or milk constituents, and/or egg and and/or allergy to soya do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Action taken by the business

British & Continental is recalling the above product from customers and have been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tells them what to do if they have bought the product.
